A pilot who wants a headcount from the air doesn't necessarily have to land, pull the photos off the drone and sort through them on another computer. SkyeBrowse can now give a count in a few seconds. Its new Crowd Counter runs inside the SkyeBrowse Flight App on DJI's RC Pro controller, so a crew can capture an image and get a number of people while they're still working in the field.
It's one of two new AI workflows SkyeBrowse has added for enterprise drone work. The other, Crush Analysis and Claims, is built for car crash investigations and insurance work.
A quick count from the controller
Crowd Counter gives an estimate of how many people are in a shot almost as soon as it's taken. Anyone without a Public Safety & Enterprise plan gets three free counts a day through the controller. Enterprise customers can run as many as they want. The Crowd Counter is also in SkyeBrowse's web app.
That could help with event safety, emergency response or any time a team needs a quick estimate of how many people have gathered in one place.
Measuring the damage on a wrecked car

Crush Analysis takes on a slower job. An investigator starts by telling the software which vehicle it's looking at. They can enter the year, make, model and trim; a VIN; or a license plate, and the app can read the plate straight from the drone's images. SkyeBrowse then builds a catalog-accurate 3D reference of that exact vehicle and lines it up with the 3D model captured by the drone.
From there it measures how far the body was pushed in at six stations along the damage, labeled C1 through C6. Using those numbers, it works out the collision figures reconstructionists depend on, including a barrier-equivalent delta-V and a Collision Deformation Classification code.
A first sort for insurance claims
Working from up to eight photos, the Claims side picks out parts that may need replacing, repairing or a closer look; gives an early estimate of repair cost; and checks the claim against the total-loss rules in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. SkyeBrowse is careful to call that last check a first sort to help triage a claim, not the final insurance decision.
What it costs
Crush Analysis is free on every SkyeBrowse plan through Oct. 31, 2026. After that, it becomes part of SkyeBrowse's Public Safety & Enterprise plans. License-plate lookups cost $1 each, and looking up the same plate again is free.
The bigger picture
Neither tool is really about flying. They're about what happens to the images afterward. More and more commercial drone work runs this way: the aircraft collects the data, and the software turns it into a count, a measurement or a cost estimate that someone can act on.
